Who we are.
Thank you for voting us the best festival in the suburbs!
Founded in 2013 by 4 people; old friends, long time East Aurora residents, and live music lovers:
John Venezia, chief visionary
Inspired by a trip to the Hamburg Music Fest, we wanted to do something similar in our town. It was John’s idea. We all thought he was nuts. Hamburg Music Fest was founded by Alison Pipitone, someone we have come to know and love. She encouraged us, advised us, and cheered us on during our process. We are very proud to say we have grown from a small, 4 venue, fundraising festival, to what we have now—over 100 hours of music, 20 venues, 80 bands, 250 musicians, and $275,000 in donations back to our community. Thank you for helping us realize our vision!
Every year has been a success with the help and support of additional board members, fellow EA residents, old friends, new friends, and music lovers alike which we could not operate without!
We would also like to thank the long list of volunteers who make this event happen time and time again – East Aurora Rocks!
